Your customers are deploying agents. Can they find you?
Procurement teams already send AI agents to source parts, request quotes, and compare vendors. The Agent2Agent protocol (A2A) is the newly stabilized industry standard for how those agents talk to businesses. Privagent makes your company discoverable and transactable: an Agent Card, a secure endpoint, and answers drawn from your real data.
The Readiness Gap
40%
of B2B buyers already use agentic AI in their purchasing process, per Deloitte research published in June 2026. The sell side is not keeping up.
67%
of suppliers plan to deploy agents
11%
actually have them in production
The invisible vendor loses the quote
Picture the procurement chain you already live in. An EPC firm is sourcing pumps, valves, or switchgear for a project. Their sourcing agent goes looking at 2 a.m.: checking specs, requesting quotes, comparing lead times across every vendor it can reach. It compiles the shortlist before the engineer finishes their coffee.
The vendors that can answer, machine to machine, are on that shortlist. The vendors that cannot are not late to the conversation. They were never in it. For a manufacturer or a rep firm, having no agent endpoint in the agent economy is like having no phone number when the phone became how business was done.
Deloitte's June 2026 research puts numbers on the gap: 40 percent of B2B buyers already use agentic AI in purchasing, while only 11 percent of suppliers have agents in production. The demand side is moving first. The supply side that catches up early gets found first.
What A2A and Agent Cards actually are
The A2A protocol
Agent2Agent (A2A) is an open standard that lets AI agents from different companies and platforms discover each other, exchange tasks, and transact securely. It launched in April 2025, reached its stable v1.0 specification in March 2026, and is now governed by the Agentic AI Foundation under the Linux Foundation, backed by more than 150 organizations including Microsoft, AWS, Google, SAP, Salesforce, and ServiceNow.
If MCP is how your agents connect to your own data and tools, A2A is how they talk to everyone else's. The two standards live in the same foundation and are designed to work together.
The Agent Card
An Agent Card is a machine-readable business card: a small JSON document published at a standard address on your domain that tells other agents who you are, what you can do, how to talk to you, and how to authenticate. It declares your capabilities and skills (quote requests, spec lookups, availability checks), your endpoints, and your security requirements, and it can be cryptographically signed so counterparties know it is really you.
No card, no discovery. It is the listing that puts your business on the map the agents are reading.
What we build for you
A2A readiness as a scoped engagement, not a science project. Everything below is a deliverable you own.
Your Agent Card, authored and published
The machine-readable business card of the agent economy: a JSON document at a standard address on your domain that declares who you are, what you offer, and how to reach you. We write it, publish it, and cryptographically sign it.
Capability and skill definition
Deciding what your business exposes to outside agents is a business decision, not a technical one. We scope it with you: which products, specs, availability, and quote flows go on the card, and what stays private.
A secure A2A endpoint
An endpoint that speaks the v1.0 protocol with authentication done properly: OAuth or mTLS, signed responses, and audit trails. Card signing is supported by the spec but rarely enforced in the wild. Yours will be.
Wired to your real data
An agent that answers with stale or wrong information is worse than no agent. Your endpoint draws on your actual catalog, specs, and lead times through the same system-of-understanding connections we build in layer 2.
A pilot workflow with a human in the loop
A first live capability, typically automated quote requests or spec lookups, with your team approving every response until you trust it. Autonomy is earned, not installed.
A roadmap for what comes next
Agent payments (the AP2 protocol), broader capabilities, and deeper automation, sequenced against the maturity of the ecosystem and your own foundation.
Four steps to answerable
1
A2A readiness consultation
A 30-minute conversation about your products, your buyers, and where agent-mediated demand is likely to reach you first. No slides required.
2
Capability scoping
We map what your business should expose to outside agents, what it should not, and what data has to be connected for the answers to be accurate.
3
Build and publish
Agent Card authored, signed, and published. Endpoint stood up with proper authentication. Connections wired to the systems that hold your real answers.
4
Pilot and prove
A first capability goes live with human approval on every interaction. We measure what comes in, tune, and expand only when it earns it.
Why us for this
The endpoint is only as good as the foundation
What an outside agent may see is a data sovereignty question. What it answers with comes from your system of understanding. Whether the process is safe to automate is what the digital twin is for. A2A readiness done right is the Foundation Stack applied at your front door.
Industrial DNA
Our client base spans an EPC engineering firm, manufacturers, and an industrial equipment manufacturers rep firm. We speak spec sheets, lead times, and quote cycles, not just protocols.
We run on what we sell
Privagent operates on the same stack we build for clients, agentic pipeline included. When we wire your endpoint, it is with patterns we run in production ourselves.
Where A2A really is right now
You will hear plenty of hype about the agent economy. Here is the honest picture, because credibility is worth more to us than urgency.
The standard just stabilized
A2A launched in April 2025, reached its stable v1.0 specification in March 2026, and moved into the Agentic AI Foundation in August 2026, the same Linux Foundation body that governs MCP. This is the window where standards are set and early movers are found first.
Backers are not deployments
More than 150 organizations back the protocol, including Microsoft, AWS, Google, SAP, Salesforce, and ServiceNow, and their platforms already speak it. Production use in industrial supply chains is still early. That is precisely why readiness is cheap now and expensive later.
We will tell you if you should wait
If your buyers are not heading toward agent-mediated purchasing, we will say so in the first conversation. An Agent Card you do not need is just another endpoint to secure.
Agent interoperability lives at the top of the stack
An A2A endpoint is a workflow, and workflows stand on the layers beneath them: sovereignty decides what outside agents may see, the system of understanding supplies the answers, and the process model proves the exchange is safe to automate. We build the endpoint and the foundation it stands on.
